Dental emergencies are usually followed with facial injuries and include fallen or broken tooth/teeth, broken jaws or bleeding gums after accidents. In case of such emergencies, it is best to rush for Emergency Dental Treatment Center. You can also call your dentists to get a few first aid tips. It is better to know what all dental injuries or problems are classified under dental emergencies to avoid panic. Read on to know some of the major dental emergencies:

All probabilities, your mouth would be bleeding profusely. If you can find your knocked tooth, you can keep it securely and if you are able to get the treatment within one hour of the accident, there are high chances of saving your tooth.

The nature of this emergency is same except for the fact that the tooth has not come out completely and is still stuck somewhere in the gums or the jaw. In such a situation, you can try to push the loosened tooth to its original position and rush to your dentist.

A broken tooth means a part or an edge of the tooth is broken due to some external injury. It might not be as painful as a knocked out tooth, so you may wait until the next day to see your dentist.

There are cases when you feel a sharp impact on your teeth after an accident while there is no external injury to the teeth or the jawbone. Your dentist will carry out certain investigations including dental x-rays to look for possible damages.
